From July 28 to 31, 2026, The 2nd International Symposium on Machine Learning and Media Computing (IEEE MLMC 2026) was held in Wuyishan, Nanping, Fujian Province. Organized by the IEEE Systems, Man, and Cybernetics Society (IEEE SMC), the symposium is a flagship event that provides an international platform for researchers in machine learning and media computing to share frontier innovations and exchange academic ideas. The 2026 symposium was hosted by Fuzhou University and jointly organized by Lingnan University, Shenzhen University, Tongji University, Southeast University, and other institutions.
Professor Yun Zhang, PhD student Xiaoqi Wang, and master's student Siyan Wu attended the symposium. Xiaoqi Wang's paper, "No-Reference Image Quality Assessment via Projective Degradation Subspaces," was accepted by MLMC 2026. Siyan Wu's paper, "Geometry-Aware Transformer Network for Point Cloud Attribute Upsampling," was also accepted, and Wu delivered an oral presentation at the symposium.
