From May 29 to 31, 2026, the Chinese Congress on Image and Graphics (CCIG 2026) was successfully held in Guangzhou. With the theme “Imaging the Greater Bay Area, Envisioning a New Era,” the congress was organized by the China Society of Image and Graphics, hosted by Sun Yat-sen University, and co-organized by the Guangdong Society of Image and Graphics, South China University of Technology, and Pazhou Laboratory. Six team members attended the congress and engaged in academic exchange on media coding, 3D reconstruction, embodied intelligence, spatial intelligence, machine vision, and related topics.

During the congress, the students attended keynote talks, academic forums, technology demonstrations, and poster sessions. These activities provided an opportunity to learn about recent advances in image and graphics and to exchange ideas with other attendees. The experience broadened the students' research perspectives and offered useful references for the team's work in visual coding, perceptual computing, 3D media, and AI-powered visual applications.
